19th Annual Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine Conference

Presented by Providence Regional Medical Center Everett and Swedish Hospital, the goal of the Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine Conference is to enhance the skills and performance of providers who treat patients with substance use disorders.  New scientific findings, best practices, treatment, tools, and modalities in all areas of addiction medicine will be presented. 

The conference program is aimed at primary medicine providers (physicians, nurses, ARNPs, PAs); addiction medicine providers; chemical dependency counselors; psychiatrists & therapists; and other healthcare providers interested in addiction medicine.  CME and CEU is available for several medical fields.

Implementation Science: An Introductory Workshop Focused On HIV/AIDS: Webinar Available

The Third Coast Center for AIDS Research partnered with the Center for Prevention Implementation Methodology to produce a 90-minute workshop on Implementation Science.   This webinar provides an introduction to Implementation Science for researchers, clinicians, policy makers, and community members.  Scale out of PrEP is used as an example to illustrate principals of Implementation Science, including definitions, frameworks, strategies, measures, and partnerships.

Presenters include: C. Hendricks Brown, PhD, Ce-PIM Director; Assistant Professor J.D. Smith, PhD; Research Assistant Professor, Nanette Benbow, M.A.S.; and Juan Villamar, M.S.Ed, the Executive Director.
