Preserving the History of Addiction Treatment and Recovery: The SALIS Collection

What would it mean to future generations if the collective knowledge drawn from history and science about addiction, addiction treatment, and recovery simply disappeared? As more and more addiction libraries and databases close, that question is a critical one. You can help to preserve these priceless collections.

The association of Substance Abuse Librarians and Information Specialists (SALIS) is building a digital archive of important books and reports in the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug (ATOD) field in partnership with the Internet Archive. “The SALIS Collection” is available to anyone, anywhere in the world, for FREE! Some books can be read online, e-borrowed, and, in some cases, even downloaded, depending on copyright status.
